This is the first book of the series Greek as a second language and it is intended to be used by beginners. Its comics layout makes it quite attractive to young children. For each chapter, there is a table with the grammatical and syntactical phenomena referred to in it, quite useful both for students and teachers. The book also includes a comprehensive vocabulary, translated into English, German and Russian. The authoress, who is a Modern Greek master with long teaching experience, intends to introduce children to the Greek language in a pleasant and comprehensible way, through combinations of pictures, cultural references and simple dialogues. Special attention was paid to the illustration of the book; the full-page drawings were painted by children from the special painting classes of YMCA of Thessaloniki.
