Description
This is a dictionary that lists entries alphabetically in reverse order, i.e. from right to left. In this way, the words are listed in accordance with their endings, that is, their suffixes.
Based on the principles of synchronic linguistics, and without being exhaustive, the dictionary covers a wide range of the Modern Greek lexicon as it offers a rich collection of words (180.000 entries), more than any other dictionary of its kind. It is an indispensable tool for linguists, particularly those involved in the study and teaching of Modern Greek morphology.
In addition, despite its reverse listing order, the dictionary is a useful aid to the checking of word spelling, not only because it contains more words than any other dictionary, but also because its author has tried to remain as consistent as possible in the application of orthographic rules.
